Custom-Fit Hearing Protection
FiR Audio (Audio Rif) earplugs take a different approach. They are designed to deliver a flat frequency response, meaning the amount of reduction is essentially the same across the audible spectrum. Low frequencies, midrange, and highs are attenuated evenly so the relative balance between them stays intact. What you hear is the original sound, simply turned down.
That flat response has practical benefits. Speech remains clear and intelligible because the frequencies that define words and consonants aren’t disproportionately removed. Music keeps its natural tonal balance—bass stays full, midrange stays present, and high-end detail is preserved instead of being stripped away. Instruments retain their character, vocals stay articulate, and the overall mix continues to make sense. Because the sound still feels natural, listening fatigue is reduced and you can stay engaged longer without the constant sense that something is missing.
Four interchangeable filters let you choose the exact level of protection you need: –10 dB, –13 dB, –15 dB, or –17 dB. Each filter maintains the same flat response, so swapping them only changes overall volume, not the character of the sound. Whether you’re at a concert, on a loud job site, commuting, or simply need to manage everyday noise, you can select the attenuation that fits the environment while keeping full clarity and musical detail.
The result is hearing protection that doesn’t force a compromise. You lower the volume enough to protect your ears, yet speech stays easy to follow and music continues to sound like music.
